Cargo general sales agent enjoys export growth

18 August 2008 - Air Cargo Week

ITL Aviation Services claims to be the leading cargo general sales agent in Vietnam, according to its managing director Ben Anh.

The company represents eight airlines, including Thai Airways, Martinair, Qatar Airways, AirBridge Cargo, Royal Brunei and Cebu Pacific. “We are handling a total of 69 flights per week for both Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi and our total handled in 2007 was close to 14,000 tonnes, accounting for 12 percent of the whole Vietnam outbound traffic”, Anh said.

“We are expanding very fast in Vietnam, where last year alone we grew at 23 percent in terms of volume and 55 percent in terms of revenue”. Total Vietnamese exports out of Ho Chi Minh airport in 2007 came to 101,000 tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 13 persent, according to Anh. Meanwhile, outbound shipments through Hanoi totalled 23,000 tonnes, a growth of 22 percent over 2006.
